Sarai’s Story

Sarai L. Saulo was born in Pago Pago, American Samoa, where she lived on the island for 17 years. After she graduated from Leone High School in 1971, she moved to Hawaii and lived there for 10 years.

She came to the continental US when her parents got sick, and she moved to Seattle, WA to care for them.

“I was always raised in the church all my life, but there was no relationship with Jesus Christ. Life was good, but something was missing. While caring for my parents [my husband and I] joined the First Samoan Assembly of God in 1981.”

“When I got baptized, I didn't ask The Lord Jesus Christ in my heart, and it wasn't smooth sailing from there. I rebelled against God, living a life that is not glorifying Him.”

A year later on, Sarai was invited to an Easter Sunrise service at 4:00am. The church was filled with all women, and the church was dark.

“I was just worshiping and praising the Lord like all the other women were doing, then something wonderful happened: The Holy Spirit touched my heart my overwhelming power, and I heard the Holy Spirit minister these words, ‘Sarai, what is the use of you gaining the whole world, but losing your soul?’ There, I finally asked the Lord Jesus Christ in my heart. I then repented for my sins, and have been living for Him ever since that early Easter morning.”

Sarai met her husband, Semi P. Saulo in church in Seattle, Washington. They have been married for 39 years (and counting!), and together they have 5 kids, 14 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.  who is the Head Pastor at Family of God Pentecostal. Semi is the Head Pastor at Family Pentecostal Church of God, where together they have been ministering since 2022.

“I love the church and am very humble and honored to serve the church in whatever capacity God provides.”
